Distance Reiki session
Reiki works on an energetic level (the quantum level), where everything is connected. As such, Reiki can be sent to anywhere in the world, with healing received in exactly the same way as an in-person treatment. If you are unable to come to me for any reason, then a Reiki distance treatment will provide the same benefits as a face to face treatment.
Reiki distance treatments last for approximately 1 hour with time provided after the session to chat through what has come up for you. I will usually ask to have a call with you in advance of the session to discuss your specific needs and answer any questions you my have. I will message you shortly before the session is due to start to check you are ready, and then again after the treatment to let you know I am finished and to chat through the session either then or at a later time.
For most people a Reiki treatment provides a deeply relaxing, almost meditative experience. People often describe a release of stress or anxiety and a general sense of wellbeing.
I work intuitively, allowing Reiki to guide me, to allow whatever healing is most beneficial to you in the moment.
Your distance Reiki session
Prior to your distance Reiki session, I will ask you to find a quiet and comfortable space (the sofa, your bed, a favourite chair, or lying on a yoga mat for example) where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the session. You may also like to play some relaxing meditation music.
During your Reiki session, I will work to identify any areas of imbalance or blockages in your energy field, and then use my hands to channel healing energy to those areas along with any other areas that I am intuitively guided to. This energy will help to release any tension or stress in your body, promoting a deep sense of relaxation and inner peace. Reiki works and flows in exactly the same way as if you were in the room with me, and people often experience 'feeling' the practitioners hands on them during the session.
The experience is very subjective and sometimes seemingly very subtle. People may feel heat or tingling sensations either across the body. Some people describe seeing colours or visions and may receive relief from physical pain or an emotional release. Sometimes the effect of Reiki is dramatic, and at other times more subtle and noticed only a while after.
In my Reiki sessions, I aim to allow whatever healing is most needed for you in the moment. Reiki works on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level, and can help to balance your mind, body and spirit.
For New Clients:
Generally between 3-5 Reiki sessions are recommended for a real breakthrough in healing and overall wellbeing, though many clients come back for regular sessions beyond this to maintain a general balance in their energy body.
The treatment itself is 1 hour in length, with time allowed afterwards for any questions and for us to have a to have a chat through the session.
For Your Appointment:
Find somewhere quiet and comfortable where you can fully relax and will not be disturbed. It is best to be lying or sitting down in comfortable clothes that will not restrict your relaxation during the Reiki session.
After your Reiki session it is recommended to drink plenty of water and to take it easy. A gentle walk in nature is always a good idea, as the healing energy will continue to flow beyond the actual session.

What can Reiki help with?
Reiki works in a fully holistic way, getting to the root cause of any issue and allowing healing on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. It stimulates your body's innate healing abilities and can help to balance your mind, body and spirit.
Whilst not an exhaustive list, Reiki has been shown to help with physical issues such as pain relief, recovery from injuries and post-surgery soreness and the side effects of many medicines; emotional issues such as anxiety, stress, depression and grief; sleep problems; releasing old emotional wounds and trauma (both childhood and past-life); energising and detoxifying the body, improving overall health; aiding with addiction recovery and improving concentration and mental clarity.
